Pet Food market is a highlight at Fenagra 2026
A large share of the trade show's exhibitors represent the Pet Food segment; the event will also host technical congresses focused on sustainability and innovation in animal nutrition

The Pet Food market in Brazil remains one of the main drivers of the Pet chain and will be in the spotlight at Fenagra – International Feed & Food Agribusiness, Technology and Processing Trade Show, taking place on May 12–14, 11 am–7 pm, at Distrito Anhembi.
Data from Abempet (Brazilian Association of Pet Industry Companies) indicate that the Brazilian Pet sector grew 3.45% in 2025, reaching revenues of R$ 77.96 billion. Of this total, the Pet Food category consolidates itself as the main pillar of the chain, accounting for 53.1% of revenue (R$ 41.42 billion), while maintaining annual production of about 4 million tons, with potential to expand to more than 9 million.
In its 19th edition, Fenagra will bring together about 250 exhibitors, including domestic companies and international representatives from the United States, Russia, Australia, as well as countries in Europe, Asia, South America and Saudi Arabia. The goal is to attract approximately 14 thousand visitors and congress attendees, with a volume of business above R$ 1 billion.
“A large share of the exhibitors represent the Pet Food and Animal Nutrition segment, including Animal Feed (poultry, swine and cattle) and Aqua Feed. They are suppliers of inputs, raw materials, technological solutions, machinery and laboratory equipment,” says Daniel Geraldes.
Exhibitors also include important feed players such as Nestlé PURINA® and Royal Canin®. For the second consecutive year, Nestlé PURINA® takes part in Fenagra, as part of its movement to refocus on the specialized channel.
“The event is a strategic opportunity to strengthen relationships with customers, partners and sector experts. For this edition, we will present news in the Purina Pro Plan portfolio, our main brand and a benchmark in science-based nutrition. The line recently underwent a broad renewal and expansion,” says Rodrigo Maingue, executive director of Purina in Brazil.
According to Rodrigo, the Brazilian Pet Food market has shown consistent growth in recent years, driven by consumers increasingly attentive to the quality, healthiness and nutritional benefits of food for their pets. “The expectation is for continued expansion and professionalization of the sector, supported by innovation, portfolio differentiation and greater awareness among pet owners about nutrition and animal well-being,” he adds.
Congresses and seminars
Alongside the trade show, the traditional technical congresses will be held, organized by associations representing the sector. They are: ABRA (Brazilian Association of Recycling), CBNA (Brazilian College of Animal Nutrition), SBOG (Brazilian Society of Oils and Fats) and UBRABIO (Brazilian Union of Biodiesel and Biokerosene). The initiative reinforces Fenagra’s role as a platform for business, professional development and the advancement of agribusiness.
This year’s program includes the 25th CBNA PET Congress, the 9th CBNA Workshop on Nutrition and Nutrology of Dogs and Cats and the 36th CBNA Annual Meeting – Poultry, Swine and Cattle, held by CBNA – Brazilian College of Animal Nutrition.
The agenda also includes the 3rd Biodiesel and Biokerosene (SAF) Forum: Technology and Innovation, promoted by UBRABIO – Brazilian Union of Biodiesel and Biokerosene; the 11th Technical Dialogue of the Animal Recycling Sector, organized by ABRA – Brazilian Association of Animal Recycling and the Oils and Fats Processing Seminar, held by SBOG – Brazilian Society of Oils and Fats.
Since last year, Fenagra has been organized through the partnership between IEG Brasil and Editora Stilo, an initiative that strengthens the event’s structure, expands its operational capacity and boosts its international reach.
